Location of Pattaya
Pattaya resort is located on the eastern coastline of Thailand 's exotic Gulf of Siam and is approximately 140 km southeast of the capital city of Bangkok and about 160 Km from Bangkok International Airport . Which four parts: Central Pattaya, North Pattaya, South Pattaya and Jomtien Beach .
Pattaya Beach is a narrow strip of sand about 4 km long. The beach road runs parallel and in South Pattaya is the focus of the shops, restaurants, discotheques, bars and night clubs which provide the nightlife.
A couple of kilometres to the south, Jomtien Beach offers lots of space in a great 14 km sweep of golden sand with more space in the sea, wider beaches, and the best water sports - windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, parasailing, game fishing and more. At the far end of the beach is fishing village of Bang Saray, still largely undeveloped but with some superb seafood restaurants on piers in the bay.

How to go Pattaya?
Transport between Pattaya and Bangkok or surrounding places is by road. There are no taxis or bus services within Pattaya, only pickup trucks with benches - hotels will often arrange their own transport, hire cars are a good idea if you plan to travel very much, and walking is good for you

U Thapao, south of Pattaya, has a superb runway - designed for fully laden B52s - some charter flights and a single daily scheduled flight.
Buses to the east leave Bangkok from Ekkamai bus station on Sukhumvit road, but many tourists simply take a taxi, private hire vehicle or hotel bus to Pattaya. Siam Wanderer does not book bus tickets.
A single daily, third class, non-air conditioned train is the only train serving the resorts of the Eastern Seaboard. It takes twice as long as the air conditioned buses.
Festival in Pattaya
The Pattaya Festival is held in April, the hottest time of year, and is the local variation of the Songkran or Thai New Year water festival, complete with floral floats, beauty contests, stalls selling local delicacies, and a spectacular display of fireworks on the beach. The Chonburi Buffalo Races, in the provincial capital, are held during October every year. Water buffalo are a traditional mainstay of Thai farm life but in the festival have time off from work to join in races and displays. The festival includes beauty contests, for humans, too.
